Sayonara, Texas (遠離德州)
'This is Henry Wang, I want to let you know Mark has signed off George's relocation, now you can prepare for the moving. Beep!'
Aftar three weeks waiting, receiving this voice mail today indicates we are officially on the relocation list. Hard to illustrate how we end up with relocation to California, but it has been in our mind that we want to create a new life in CA sometime in the near future. Well, now it is it! no hesitation, no wondering around, lots of things got to clean up and re-planning.
Been living in Texas for 7 years- studied in hill country, 4 years working in a good company with ave. working hour 12 hrs / day plus 25-30% international travel, and 1 year working in a prestigious hi-tech company- well I have an enjoyable experience in this lone star state.
Looking around our little apartment, 40 packed moving boxes (and more to come) and couple used furniture that been with us for years, they are all of the property we will bring to the new world.
How much is the gas in San Jose ? How much is the apartment rent? What's the average living expense, etc... All of these unanswered questions will not stop us moving forward. After all, these are just details. Don't stuck with these Californian things. Why not think of Texas spirit: big , brave, unconsciously confident toward the unknown future?
Although cannot articulate how good you are, I surely will miss you . Sayonara, Texas!
