Complexity vs. Simplicity

The complex object becomes simple after presenting in a clear-cut way (ex. Black and white).

However, do we always want things simple? Sometimes we do but sometimes we don’t.
Yesterday, I was disappointed myself that I did not do anything throughout the day. No productivity at all! Not even the ONLY mission a housewife needs to accomplish in a day- cook a good meal for my man. I was browsing online whole day, reading the NBA playoff news, see how these sports columnists analyze whether Spurs or Pistons can win the game… Also, watch Food channel to see if there is any new dish. At the end, I fooled around the whole day. When my husband came back expecting my hot dinner, it is not ready.
30 mins later even when it was ready, the result was not satisfied either. One of the dishes was overcooked; one was not salty enough, and one was too big to chew. Well, I was a failed housewife yesterday.

Life is too simple for me right now to define my “black and white.” When I was an office worker, I always enjoyed the life that I have multiple paints that allow me to play around. Fortunately, most of the painting pieces/my works are recognized due to the nature of living in a complex work and life. Right now, as a housewife it is not required to paint a colorful painting anymore. My life becomes so simple; I can spend a day just fool around and at the end prepare a good dinner for my husband. That can be it! However, I don’t feel my new life, suppose to be simpler, whose colors are mixed so well. I somehow directionless move on my life.

I deeply like simple life. I thought I could enjoy a simple living by just sleeping, eating, watching TV, and cooking. But it seems not enough. Mmmm, I guess I need to think of creating a daily Schedule (哈, 像小學生的功課表). The schedule can list up when I need to go to gym, when I can go online, and when I should go to Barns and Noble, etc. Will that make my life simple but accomplished?
